Introduction to Text Analysis In-Person

Text analysis uses computational methods to identify patterns, themes, trends, and relationships in large collections of text. It helps researchers understand what texts discuss and how language is used when close reading alone would be impractical.

This workshop provides an introduction to text analysis, including essential terminology and concepts. Participants will explore common methods and tools through practical examples. By the end of the session, they will be better prepared to identify approaches and tools that fit their research needs. Participants will also have the opportunity to book a consultation to discuss how their chosen approach could support a specific project.
