Introduction to Predatory Scholarship In-Person

This workshop will provide overview of the scholarly publishing landscape, specifically focusing on predatory scholarship. Predatory scholarship includes both predatory publishing and predatory conferences, both of which are deceptive practices intended to mimic conventional scholarly publishing in order to attract legitimate research and scholars. Participants will learn how to thoughtlully evaluate journals and conferences and detect those employing predatory practices.
