Love Data Week: Creating Geographic Maps with R In-Person
In this Love Data Week event, you'll learn how to create a choropleth map in RStudio using the tidycensus package. We'll use an API to pull data from the American Community Survey and build a map representing income across Mississippi counties. We'll also learn how to merge non-Census data from other sources with our choropleth map. Basic familiarity with R is helpful if you want to follow along with the demonstration but everyone is welcome to attend.
