Love Data Week: Introduction to Census Data

Explore the power of US Census data in this introductory workshop. This session begins with a brief history of the US Census and its evolution, and explores the many surveys and programs currently housed under the Census Bureau. Participants will learn about key data sources, including the decennial census, the American Community Survey (ACS), and the Current Population Survey (CPS) as well as more specialized datasets like the American Housing Survey (AHS). Discover how these datasets provide rich demographic, social, and economic insights for research in fields such as public health, economics, education, and more.
