Python Basics In-Person
Python Basics is an introductory four-week, in-person series to help students and researchers become familiar with the Python programming language. This series is intended for attendees who have little or no programming experience.
Python is one of the world's most popular programming languages and is widely used for machine learning, data science, text analysis, and other research applications. The curriculum covers the basics of assigning variables, using operators and built-in functions, manipulating text strings, and working with data.
Each session in the workshop series builds on the previous session, therefore we strongly encourage you to register only if you can attend at least three of the four sessions in the series. The workshops will take place from 9:00 AM - 10:45 AM over the course of four Thursdays in October-November:
